About Air Force Common Admission Test
Air Force Common Adimission Test or AFCAT Exam as it is commonly known is a recruitment exam conducted by Indian Air Force to induct officers in Indian Air Force for both technical and non technical posts.
THE AFCAT Exam is conducted twice every year for multiple posts in Flying and Ground Duty. Selection depends on how you perform in written tests, interviews, medical fitness test and All India merit list.
The Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT exam is conducted by the Air Force Selection Board and consists of two stages. The first stage consists of a written test and the second stage involves a testing process.
AFCAT Exam Eligibility 2024
Candidates must fulfil the AFCAT eligibility criteria for the Flying branch and Ground Duty (Technical and non-technical) Branch in terms of educational qualification, nationality, marital status, physical standard requirements, etc, as prescribed in the official notification before submitting the online form to avoid cancellation of their candidature.
Only a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal can apply for NDA Exam.
Age Limit for AFCAT Exam
The AFCAT Age Limit for Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch will be between 20 to 26 years as of 01 January 2025. Candidates born between 02 January 1999 and 01 January 2005 as of 1st January 2025 are eligible for the post.
Education Qualification for AFCAT Exam
The educational qualification for AFCAT depend on the branch a candidate wishes to apply for. The three branches – Flying, Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-technical) have different qualification criteria. Check the official notification for the each branch.
AFCAT Exam Syllabus & Pattern
The AFCAT Exam is usually conducted twice a year. The examination is designed to assess the understanding level of concepts and intelligence of the candidate. The AFCAT Written Exam is the only criterion for clearing the first stage for the Non-Technical candidates; while the AFCAT+ EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test) for the Technical candidates.
The AFCAT exam consists of General Aptitude, General Awareness (GK), Verbal Ability, Reasoning and Military Aptitude.
